I don’t know what good this thread is, or my post, but I feel like talking ;)

I used to be blindly in love with Harvard two years ago…just because “it was Harvard” and that’s where the “brilliant people go”. Since then, I’ve thought the whole college thing over multiple times. The summer after my sophomore year, I visited the east coast before heading off to PROMYS.

I fell in love with Yale when I visited. Everything about the school matched what I hoped to find in my college experience. Unfortunately, I didn’t find that my tastes were suited for Princeton when I visited. Sure, Princeton is awesome, but it just doesn’t seem to be for me. I simply cannot picture myself at the school. I also visited Harvard, and didn’t find it to be as fitting as Yale, although I like Harvard more than Princeton.

In other words, it’s all about preferences. Not one is better than the other. Seriously.

I got into Yale early, but I applied to a few other schools including Harvard and Princeton. I am 99% sure I am going to Yale next fall, but the other 1% can only be determined after thoroughly getting to know the other schools that I get into (granted, if I do get in anywhere else…).
