The insta page for ASE III has been created, go follow @yygsase2020!! :blush:

All unofficial YYGS 2020 accounts:
@yygsase2020
@yygsple2020
@yygssgc2020
@yygsbbs2020
@yygslpc2020

(note that I only created the ASE page)

@Ladybird_2003 but those work experience came of no use for the application. Irrespective of everything I had I got rejected… Maybe they thought that I was lying or maybe since they review or rolling basis and I applied on the last day there were not enough spots left… Whatever it was but it hurt a lot to not even be
wait listed ??

Also I applied for full financial aid so they might have run out of funds or they might not be need blind as they state in the websites

Any Bangladeshi student here?

Sorry for you… however, even I sent in my application in the last minute and I sought financial aid too. Anyways it ain’t easy to understand the criteria of selection. Good luck with your future endeavours!

Hey anybody seriously worried the program is gonna be canceled due to Covid 19 :frowning:

Hi, guys, I’m totally new to this thread, but I just had a quick question. Is there an advantage/higher chance of getting in if you apply early decision (like college)?
Thanks guys! :slight_smile:

MIT canceled all their summer programs. You think Yale will do the same?

@AKmath there isn’t a lot of info about summer program acceptance rates, let alone early vs regular acceptance rates, but it’s sensible to assume that, like for college applications, early application does give you an advantage since there may be fewer people who apply. I’m not an admissions officer or anything so definitely don’t quote me on this tho!

@ameliac123 no idea honestly. apparently launchx is pretty confident they’ll run as normal, but yale hasn’t given any additional updates and this situation is really unpredictable, especially since there are still a few months until the program.

Bummer - session 1 for YYGS 2020 is officially cancelled. What do you guys think is the best option, looking at the survey they gave?
Also, when they say “Defer admission to YYGS 2021”, do they mean reconsider the application next year or just move the program to next year for all 2020 admitted students?

I think deferring to YYGS 2021 is the best option (unless you are a junior).

I know, it really sucks! I didn’t get the survey cuz I’m in session 3, but “defer admission to YYGS 2021” most likely means that you’ll automatically be admitted to YYGS 2021 if you choose that option.
