Yao Ming

It may be in his genes. Both of his parents were well over 6’ - If I recall correctly, in the 6’5"-6’6" range.

Yao Ming is not that great of a basketball player.

Did anyone get the point of this thread?

It was to go ohhh and ahhh at Yao’s insanely tall height.

ohhhhh ahhhhhhhh

LMAO. Not really but I think XCchick44 did. XD Great job Chick!

Hahahah. She got it.

Woot!

God forbid any guy of Asiatic descent be over 5’5", without buckteeth and a Fu Manchu beard.

ohhhhhh… ahhhhhhh

yao is on my fantasy nba team, and I need him to get back!

yao, if you are listening, get well soon! I want your 20 points and 9 rebounds again!

^^Aww, how sweet.

[lol]

LOL Fu Manchu beard. [giggles]

Who, or what, is Fu Manchu??

just look him up on google images he’s rather interesting…

Fu Manchu was a Chinese villain concocted by some hack English writer. He (Fu, not the hack) embodied the typical racist view of Asians as fiendish, cunning, and dangerously subversive to Western ideals. His dream was to overthrow the West, which means his popularity amongst neanderthals should spike in these contemporary times as the triple threat of Osama, Kim Jong Il, and China rises from the East.

It’s quite amazing how such anti-Asian figures are still tolerated. I just went to Amazon.com, and apparently, there’s a slew of movies about Fu Manchu where white actors like Boris Karloff went “Yellowface”. Amongst the reviews, I find comments like “camp classic”, as if racism is a quaint little amusement. The sad truth is that these prejudiced caricatures still exist in the West, from Jackie Chan to William Hung.

BTW, a Fu Manchu beard is like a handlebar moustache, except it’s wispier and dangles below the jawline.

Yao Ming is terrible… the only reason hes in the NBA is because he is so damn tall…

Do you even watch basketball? Yao Ming is the highest scoring center in the league. Unfortunately, he’s sidelined for over a month right now, so the Rockets will have to make up for that somehow. You can’t easily replace a 7’6" 20-point scorer.

Yao Ming IS terrible. The only reason that he is in the NBA is b/c he is TALL. He has no body. He gets pushed around by ppl that are 5"5’. I know that this might be heartbreaking to some asians that favor him and place him on the top of the NBA but he really isnt a good player. Without Tmac on the team the team is terrible. If you look at Yao this season he is going in more often and boxing out stronger, unlike, the last season where kobe used to yam on him every 2 secs. Obviously, the cotch yelled at him and scared him shi…less :D

The only reason 90% of the players are in the NBA is because they’re tall.

He’s getting by far better each consequetive year than most members of the NBA.

Not everyone eats like a savage like at Shaq.

He’s still scoring 20 points a game. That’s good enough.

I wonder how tall he was when he was my age.

Dunno that they kept track (BTW, 200th post!!!)
