Yay!!! Sing-Off is BACK!!!!

“Pitchiness”. Wow. Yes. I watched the tape this morning. Pentatonix is lucky that they saved their worst performance for after the voting. (Still love 'em, though. They were the ones to beat practically from the very beginning. Amazing that their two parts were stuck together with chewing gum just before the season began.)

Were the Dartmouth Aires ever classy! And I loved that they did ultratraditional collegiate a cappella for their farewell.

The white woman in Afro Blue is white, not high yellow. Nothing wrong with that, of course. I bet Howard is a great place to study music, no matter what you look like.

My son knew Kevin Olusola ( the beatboxer in Pentatonix) at Yale last year, and he is a very nice, modest guy, while also being a supremely talented musician–he is an awesome cellist. Interestingly, he was on “From the Top” as a kid–playing the saxophone.

Found this hilarious video on the Sing Off site:

Evidently Howard is a great place to study jazz, for sure!
