<p>Actually, maybe you’re right, nomad. I don’t know. Maybe she only said that to me because there are none available in my area. I can see it being more inportant for people that live in an area in which they can be scheduled.</p>

<p>i am goign to have it in 2 hours! Dam i dont know why i want to go northwestern!!! tTs my first choice and still …rrrrr and i dont want to sound dumb and say because of its reputation and excellent engineering school.</p>

<p>Ok the meeting went ok i think. We spoke for an hour and half and he said it was 30 mins above the norm and said it was good becuase we had a lot to talk about. I actually liked it. </p>
<p>Well as far as questions were concerned they were really basic, why northwestern, cocurricular activities specifics about them, just show them who you are i guess. Oh yeah the one i liked was the biggest challenge i have faced till now. Think abt this one. I dont think they buy your rags to riches story ( in sports, academics or literally).

<p>I had my interview yesterday. It was kinda awkward because i stuttering because i was trying to think of questions to ask.</p>

<p>Hah first rule of hand, please done prepare more than 2 questions you reaaly want to ask. THinking and asking questions on the spot is better and i think the interviewer like those.</p>
<p>I’ve been an alum interviewer for Northwestern. It’s not a big deal. The interviewer doesn’t know anything about you except your name and high school. Unless you start using profanity, haven’t showered in 5 weeks, or act totally unbalanced, the interviewer’s opinion won’t make or break you.</p>
<p>My dad “thinks its a good idea to wear a tie and jacket…”…which means I have to…Is this really bad???</p>
<p>I really don’t think it’s necessary-it’s not like it’s a business interview. I’d be suprosed if interviewers expect kids to wear ties. At the hotel presentation I went to–the local alumni chapter head who sets up the interviews wore a Hawaiin shirt and jeans. Just take your tie off when you get to your interview-Dad won’t know.</p>
<p>noooo dont, if its in a coffeehouse like mine wear casual, your interviewver will be wearing a northwestern tee shirt!!</p>

<p>In my interview with a Hopkins admissions rep (it was supposed to be a group, but I was the only one who showed up) I came up with a bunch of questions on the spot and it was a much more interesting conversation than if i had planned 15 questions…it flowed a lot better…BUT, do prepare some questions or have an idea of what you want to know about…and remember, you are talking to an alumn…not an admissions rep.</p>
<p>I just had my interview…I think it went pretty well…</p>
