<p>We ordered (expedited) S2 an adult passport on 4/21 and received the new one on 5/5. Does anyone know why they would not return his old one? Perhaps it will arrive separately.</p>
<p>That would be my guess since I think everyone here said they do send the old one. I was the only one that said they didn’t I think, and I was mistaken. </p>
<p>Kajon, I got a new passport recently and the it arrived with a note saying the old one would be mailed back separately. It arrived a week or so later. Check the paperwork with your new one.</p>
<p>They do send the old and new separately, thereby reducing the risk that both will be lost or damaged.</p>
