I was fortunate—when I was referred to a 70+ year old specialist, I met his 40+ year old protegee presenting at a conference I attended. We got along very well and she agreed to take over my care when her mentor decided to retire. He just decided to retire (7 years after I started seeing him). The visit where he did a warm handoff to the protogee was lovely and lasted >1 hour with both of them present and was very complete, with him providing a written summary of all the lung tests I had completed over the past 20+ years.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the protogee continues practicing as long as I need her. My HI lung doc is now 50+.

THIS is why it’s best to read the menu and plan your choices at home before you go to the restaurant lol

We have a running joke for years that the dimmed, pricey restaurants are only affordable by the older crowd…. yet they have teeny fancy font on their menus. Of course cellphone flashlights do help.

I usually take a photo of small print like nutritional info on cat food cans and zoom in on that.

Well, the last niece is graduating HS and looking at colleges! The next generation has the oldest at 11 years old—yikes, where did those years go?

The way I remember dessert/desert is that more S’s means more dessert for me!

I do that, too! Yesterday, I had to take a picture of my bank card and zoom in to clearly see the customer service number.

I still have one! I tried to close it, but there are two old sub accounts tied to them - one from when I sold the kids’ old textbooks on Amazon & one from some other similar use. Because I can’t get into those accounts anymore, I’m stuck. AOL won’t let me close the main account until I close the other accounts. It’s too annoying to deal with!
