I spent $300 at Nordstrom on two LongChamp bags for graduation. I’d be bummed if they FINALLY went on sale after I gave them. But looks like the one I got isn’t part of the sale. Thanks for the tip though.
There were at least 15 styles on sale (longchamps) at noon, including the small, medium, and larger totes.
Peaches were on sale at the supermarket AND it was senior citizen discount day today!
I just returned a ton of stuff at Nordstrom Rack. I was going to buy some boots, that were something like 70% off. The lady (who was the same person who helped me with my 15 item return) mentioned they are starting clear the rack tomorrow, so they will be an additional 25% off. She’s trying to hold them for me (and I won’t be heart broken if I don’t get back or they are gone). You also get 10x points on Nordstrom card through the 19th.
Whoa. The dress has shipped!
That was lightening fast.
Thank you for reminding me about clear the rack!
@doschicos I received and email from Eileen Fisher that through 19th of June they are giving an extra 15% off sale items. This is Eileen Fisher online site.
My good buy on a Longchamp Le Plage tote was in France last month. 73 euros for the large tote. That was duty free at airport.
Called to cancel Sunday delivery of my New York Times and ended up keeping it but now getting 60% off for the next year.
Since Costco is discontinuing their AmEx card on Monday and I’d just gotten an offer for a platinum Delta sky miles card that was giving both 60,000 bonus miles and 10,000 MQM, I got them to give me a Delta card (for me and DH) and credit me back the $195 fee for the card, and I do not believe in paying for the privilege of spending money. They will be expediting the card too. Guess they want me to keep spending my $$ with them.
Today I received a mystery offer email from Kohl’s that gives you a code for 20, 30, or 40% off your purchase online. If you go through ebates first you will also get 6% cashback in your ebates account.
D got this cute DVF shift dress for $60 at the Rack:

She also got a Joie blazer for $66 (originally $349) and a Michael Kors black dress for $45 (Originally $225).
I think she is all set for her internship that starts next week!
Showmom858 - great buys. I have that dress in another print. My D loves to borrow it. Silk jersey is wonderful.
Good luck to your D on her internship.
@mom60 - Thanks! She is excited to work for this PR firm, but a bit apprehensive about living in LA. Do you dry clean that dress?
@showmom858 - I don’t dry clean many things but I do that dress. I paid a lot of money and I love that dress so I haven’t risked laundering it myself.
I love that I can wear that dress to both casual and more formal occasions. The DVF wrap dresses do nothing for my body but the shift dress looks great on me.
@mom60 - I told D she should only dry clean this dress. She also has a DVF wrap dress that I picked up for her on clear the Rack last fall for about $60. They both look equally good on her as she is 5’8" and 115 lbs! To be young again!
Showmom, I never dryclean DVF silk jersey. I have several of her wraps and a couple of Reynas, too, as well as a couple of silk jersey dresses by Issa.
The trick is to handwash them using mild deterrent (I use Woolite) in room temp. water and rinse them in same temperature water. Do not wring, just ball up and squeeze the water out. Then dry on a hanger or flat. Never put silk in a dryer. I would never dryclean silk jersey.
@showmom858 @BunsenBurner - I thought to myself that we should ask our resident fashionista Bunsenburner how to care for the dress.
Lol, thanks, mom60!
I actually cheat and use my front loader’s handwash cycle with no heat option.
@BunsenBurner @mom60 - I told her to bring the dress home when it needs cleaned (she will be coming home a couple weekends each month) and I will show her how to hand wash it properly! Thank you both for your advice.
