Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

If cancelling does not work, is it returnable? I would reorder and send back the first one.

Finally!! I bought a mock neck short sleeve sweater from Nordstrom.

I also tried NM code - does not work. They say that the items are color-coded, but I do not see any among the things I looked at. Sale, indeed…

Returning doesn’t make sense for a couple bucks.

It does not - for Amazon. It could - for the person returning if the return is free (and when the UPS can dude can pick it up off your porch at no extra charge.) I would not bother… But if the customer service gave me hard time, I would do it without hesitation. (When UPS broke the bag of cat litter I ordered off Amazon, I ordered three; the next step plan was to order 5 if the 3 were messed up in any way).

Yeah, the price different was $4 - not worth the hassle of canceling and reordering - especially when the units are dwindling in numbers (I already lost the chance at a couple color options!) and especially at this time of year when I just want to have it in hand! I thought asking was worth a try. Not the end of the world.

Did you talk with customer service or chat online with them about adjusting the price?

I think I called and spoke to a human. But the online chat should be fine too.

The item I bought had a $5 pricedrop. The item had already shipped. They credited my credit card immediately. It was easy peasy.

How long ago was that JYM? The chat person told me the policy on price adjustments had changed.

I described it above. It was on cyber Monday. Sounds like it’s better to call.

IMO Prime is worth it for the streaming video and music alone, to me the free two day shipping is just a nice side benefit.

I’m kind of bummed I DIDN’T get a good buy. My sister-in-law requested Apple TV. I ordered it for $199 from Best Buy Thursday. Now they have it for $159. It’s already been shipped, so not much I can do.

If you bought with a credit card that has a ā€œrollbackā€ feature, maybe you can get a refund of the price difference (I’ve never tried but have heard of folks who have succeeded).

If we lower our in-store or online price during the return and exchange period, we will match our lower price, upon request.

re buy it and return the first one for that much money

@Madison85 - thanks, you saved me 40 bucks. I will call them tomorrow.
@oregon101, I had it shipped to their house, so that wouldn’t work (but I have certainly done that for some things).

Well, after my 2nd call to Bloomingdale’s, they finally adjusted my order so that it was $90 (with the 40% discount) instead of $112.50 (with 25% discount). They wrote that the coat is now out of stock, so I will just be receiving the one coat that D really likes. Here’s hoping it fits!

So far with Cheesecake factory, received 2 gift cards after 11 business days, then 3 more and am still awaiting the final 3. I will NOT get plastic gift cards from them in the future–too dicey with delivery being so unpredictable! I’m unhappy with them NOT answering their phone lines and NOT returning phone calls; VERY disappointing!

Well, I held for 28 minutes, then got cut off, so had to hold again, but Best Buy had no problem crediting me back the money. Now they get some goumet popcorn and Godiva chocolate to enjoy while watching.
Godiva has a flash sale with free shipping going on. Not a huge selection, but I saved a little.
