Seeing everyone else’s scores I am at the very bottom of the barrel here when it comes to SAT scores. It was my first time taking it. </p>

<p>I got a 2180 on my first try and I am absolutely thrilled!!</p>
<p>M: 760
CR: 710
W: 710 (9 essay)</p>
<p>That made me so happy, especially since I didn’t prepare at all. When I took the PSAT I got a 215, so it was pretty representative. I got a 33 on the ACT and I think I’m going to retake the SAT just to see if I can improve, even if it’s only a little bit. I am soooo happy and relieved with my scores!</p>
<p>I thought I did a lot worse on this one than the one in October but Collegeboard proved me wrong! </p>

<p>i just took it for the first time and got 2100 but a 600 in critical reading (ughhh) and i really want to improve it to a 700 (what u just got). on the test u took a month ago whatd u get on critical reading? (around a 600 like me?). i’m also taking it again in a month–HOW DO I IMPROVE CRITICAL READIN FROM 600 TO 700 IN 1 MONTH???</p>

<p>nhi1605 - I just did some quick research, and I believe most of the ivy leagues look at the highest score from each section. But my guidance counselor suggested that I call the admissions officers of my top choice schools and ask specifically, because what the websites claim may not be true. Just in case!</p>
<p>I sure hope they superscore, because that’s what I’m relying on.</p>

<p>People were congratulating me like no tomorrow for my 2020. Seriously, they were more excited than I was. Only CC could make me feel like my scores were substandard…lol. I loved the essay topic- had it been anything else, I would have gotten even lower, as I didn’t write nearly enough or know that I was supposed to argue a position (I kind of qualified?). </p>
<p>This reminds me of an Academic Challenge meet that I went to once. One guy could name the states in which each President’s library was located, yet he didn’t know that “an MTV reality show with characters such as Snooki and Pauly D” was Jersey Shore. </p>
<p>Too bad for me that there isn’t much of a demand for pop culture savviness in college admissions…</p>

<p>How many 11/12 reality entertainment essay grades were given? From reading the scores here, I see consistent 9s and 10s, but not 11/12. For me, I thought my essay at first was good enough for 12, but now I recognize flaws retrospectively that justify my score of nine (I don’t watch TV and had weak examples). Nevertheless, did anyone get a 12?</p>
