This is a semi-serious thread where you can describe who your dream school or current school would be ideal for. You can also make suggestions!

I will make the first suggestion. Who is Cal Berkeley ideal for?

Hi Guys!!!

This is a semi-serious thread where you can describe who your dream school or current school would be ideal for. You can also make suggestions!

I will make the first suggestion. Who is Cal Berkeley ideal for?

I dream that educators around the world would get with the times, utilize the full capacity of audiovisual media to communicate knowledge and ideas through the widest possible spectrum of human perception, actually put some effort into organizing material topically instead of sequentially out of respect for students’ time, and publish it in a way that connects with all other open-source educational media in existence, dissolving such institutions as curriculum, schools, and degrees. Khan Academy has the right idea but you can only do so much with multicolored freehand lines on a small canvas.

I’d of course like to learn that way, and I don’t think there is a person in the world for whom it is not ideal.

It’s hard to have a dream school when you realize how much potential is wasted.

^It’s always nice to have some input from the unwashed hippies, thank you.

Cal Berkeley is ideal for in-state preppy kids who can pay full tuition, cos you’re not getting any sort of aid from a UC these days.

Middlebury.

fixed it for you

You do know that futurism is an artistic movement, right? Although, you’re so fantastical that you might as well call yourself a magical unicorn.

Middlebury is ideal for granola-loving hikers who enjoy going on field trips to study topography.

Georgetown

You know that futurist is a synonym of futurologist, right?

^I doubt anybody would use either term seriously outside of an artistic context.

/too well acquainted with G to judge, but

Georgetown is ideal for peppy girls who want to “work for the UN”, who wear the entire JCrew catalogue and cox men’s crew. PURLZ.

Wellesley

Well I think “futurologist” sounds too much like “urologist”.
