I am currently attending a community college in Southern California. I am planning on applying for Cal Poly SLO for Fall 2012. By Spring 2012, I should have all my tranfer classes completed except for 1: Organic Chemistry. At my school, in order to take Organic Chemistry, you must first take General Chemistry. I was planning on taking General Chemistry this semster (Fall) and Organic Chemistry next semester (Spring). However, I was not able to get into General Chemistry this semester, which means I will need to take it next semester, which means it will be too late to take Organic Chemistry before I tranfer. Both classes are listed on the assist.org website for my major (Animal Science).
This kills me because it drastically lowers my chances of getting into SLO. I have a 3.75 GPA, but I understand they want all tranfer classes done before tranferring. What are my chances of getting into SLO? Do I have any chance at all now? Has anyone ever been accepted NOT having the assist.org classes completed?
