@ajuogaaz Hi! I too am a Kenyan applying to Northwestern(one of a handful). Your scores matter only up to a certain extent. They don't expect a Kenyan to have a 1550+ on the SAT, but they do expect at least a 1400 - compensating with a high KCSE and extracurriculars. Below that, it will be an uphill battle.

This is SO stressful esp seeing the rejected stats for ED 2023 kids from Cornell, Stanford etc. Honestly, would love to get in at Northwestern but it won’t be the end of the world if it doesn’t work out although there will be some sadness and moping for a few days. Just wish decisions were released so we can move on!

Looking at the threads for Stanford and Cornell, obviously there are too many qualified applicants but there is definitely a strong element of luck involved. Don’t be disheartened. They say it all happens for a reason and there is a right school for everyone. Let’s all hang in there. At least we will know one way or another soon! 🍀🍀🍀

MY SCHOOL COUNSELOR CALLED NORTHWESTERN ADMISSIONS. THE LADY HE SPOKE WITH SAID ED APPLICANTS WILL KNOW TOMORROW NIGHT

I don't think many of you are programmers so i wont into the tech details BUT, A lot of the javascript files loaded on the portal website have metadata which include dates/expiration dates of THURSDAY, DECEMBER 13 AT 6:30. Which means the site is set to refresh and load new content on Thursday, Dec 13

Well we are expecting a rejection or deferral. Just found out at our small school another kid of same gender and ethnicity applied ED and - has a parent who went to grad school at NU. So no way we have a shot even though our GPA, rigor and test scores may be a tad higher. Depressing for us. Best of luck to everyone else. Here’s hoping tomorrow will bring good news for most!

Northwestern instagram post said they are "packing away" the letters to mail. This most likely means they are mailing tomorrow.
And they mail the letters on the same day results come out via email (historically)
