I go to a specialized high school in NYC that requires me to take A.P. world history during my first two years, and then take the A.P. exam at the end of sophmore year. Would this count as 1 A.P class since I took the same class for 2 yrs and only took 1 exam, or would it count as 2 A.P. classes since I took the class for two years?
It does not matter.
It might affected your weighted GPA if your high school weights but that is all.
That is extremely odd of a policy as I’ve never heard of an AP class extending to more than a year, but I would say it would count for one since it leads up to one AP exam.
I have. Rare, but not unique.
Since it’s a rare occurrence, you should ask your GC what his/her experience has been with how college perceive.
