1 B/B+... How Much Are My Yale EA Chances Hurt?

I just found out today that I have a B in AP Spanish. This is very out of the norm for me, grade wise (my Spanish average for the past 3 years has been an A-), and is mostly due to mess-ups on two assignments, which, combined with the paucity of other assignments, severely hurt my average. I am confident that I will be able to bring it up to at least a B+. All my other averages for my first semester Senior year will be As (Besides AP Spanish Lang, I am taking: AP Lit, AP Physics, AP Calc BC, AP Studio Art, Chinese 2 Honors, and Political Theory Honors- the most difficult schedule possible at my school).

Now that you have the info, are my chances ruined (or, at least, severely hurt?) I know to some I may seem a bit melodramatic, but what can I say, the college application process has gotten the best of me. Will Yale recognize that it is only halfway through the first semester, and that the current grade may be lower than typically expected (considering how short time there’s been?)

Thanks

don’t worry too much. this new development shouldn’t significantly hurt your chances. it’s only 1 B versus maybe 30 or something As.

P S if you are rejected, its going to be for a greater reason or just general not ‘fitting in’ to their idea of what they want their frosh class to be like, not over a single B. that would be ridiculous.
