Hey guys,

I am just a junior but have been looking at colleges for nearly 3 years. Also, I cofound a college oriented startup which has made me spend a lot of time on the subject.

Though it is a year away, my #1 is Colgate. I have toured it and been to many games as I live near Lehigh University which plays Colgate in many sports each year. I plan to apply early decision ASAP.

My rational for the moment is that I know where I want to be, and I have a year to do everything that I can to get there. I am a slightly above average student (A's and B's, mostly Honors & AP). I did well on my SAT (1900) and I am very involved in my school and community with over 200 hours of volunteer work throughout 3 years in Hs, as well as leadership positions in 3 clubs (FBLA, Key Club, Model UN) and I have played 5 varsity sports in HS. As I mentioned, I also cofound a relatively successful startup and I am well connected and involved in my local startup business community.

Based upon what I have said, where do I need to improve? Obviously, grades and SAT's can never be too high. My concern is that I am not the best HS student in core subjects, but I think I am unique in many other areas. I am hoping my extracurriculars and involvement with businesses differentiates me significantly and that it outweighs my mediocre GPA.

Thank you all for your time and help, it is much appreciated.
