Hello all,
Currently a high school senior, 29 ACT, with only an average GPA of 3.87.
I applied to a community college because I needed a cheap option and I had no idea what I wanted to do during application season… Now I’ve figured it out but my cc is the only option. I can complete all my gen. Ed reqs by the end of next year, meaning I can transfer somewhere for my sophomore year.
I’d really like to be a biology/biomedical science major. I’d love to attend UMich but I’m on the low end of their stats and although I’ve taken 5 AP’s, done 100 hours of volunteer work, and had a part time job for two years, I have no extracurriculars. My other option is Concordia Ann Arbor, which is small but I know people who have attended and loved it.
Any other ideas? Do I stick with these two? Will the latter hurt my chances of getting into medical school? Thanks!
What happened to your assured four year scholarships for your in-town college? Are you from MI? Can your family afford Concordia? Merit scholarships for transfer students are usually very low if they have any at all.
