1 year in college, apply as a freshman?

Is it possible to attend 1 year of college (majoring in a dif. subject), and then apply as a freshman to Princeton (not carrying over credits)?

If you defer Princeton for a year and take classes at another college, then that’s not ok. But I don’t see why it wouldn’t be ok to apply as a freshman as long as you don’t expect credits to transfer.

It probably depends a lot on whether you are matriculating (formally enrolling) at the other college, or just taking selected classes there, which MANY Princeton freshman applicants have done. But check with Princeton to find out its exact rules.
