I didn’t expect to see PSU on this list–
[10 Public Colleges with Insanely Luxurious Dorms](<a href=“10 Public Colleges With the Most Luxurious Dorms | The Fiscal Times”>10 Public Colleges With the Most Luxurious Dorms | The Fiscal Times)

and you will pay for it… basically the only added amenity is the bathroom in a single…$4500 a semester for room.

A standard double most students live in is $2400.

[Room & Board Rates - Fall 2012/Spring 2013](<a href=“Home Page | LiveOn”>Home Page | LiveOn)

floor plan

<a href=“Home Page | LiveOn”>Home Page | LiveOn;

standard floor plan in East

<a href=“Home Page | LiveOn”>Home Page | LiveOn;

I also thought it was odd. And unlike the other entries, it doesn’t mention the increased price, and ALL the other dorms have the ubiquitous micro/fridge combo because that’s the PSU rule, you can’t bring your own. And mail service is a perk? All the dorms get mail…Eastview is pretty but the rooms are tiny, and it’s far from everything. The other dorms on the list look pretty spiffy, but now I’m suspicious!

<<and mail="" service="" is="" a="" perk?="">></and>

Wouldn’t have thought of it as a perk, either. But at LSU, my younger son had to pay for a PO Box in order to get any mail. PITA!

adding - I found out about this when I sent him a gift card for his birthday, using the same format as I would send something to DS#1 at Penn State. But the card never arrived and we have NO idea where it went. Very frustrating!
