10 real sats (red book)

Does anyone know where one can buy the 10 real sats book (red book).

because it contains old sats, from 2003, new ones aren’t made, and it may not be helpful, but i’m willing to give it a try.

i know places like amazon and ebay have it from sellers, but i’m not sure how reliable they are, especially since they are selling for .01 or a few dollars many times.

thanks :)

I brought one brand new from Amazon last year. However, I just checked and it’s not there anymore, ie you have to buy from different sellers. How about checking your local library?

There are many listed at www.bookfinder.com.

I’ve had good experience with amazon.com vendors that have high approval ratings. Although the price may be $.01, there is also a $3.99 charge for shipping. The shipping charge is more than the actual shipping cost in most cases.

A price of a few dollars seems reasonable to me, since that book is dated and there apparently are many used ones out there.

thank you  i never heard of bookfinder,
but luckily my library has it–too bad there are over 10 holds

You should be able to order it through your local Barnes and Noble.

My library has it that I can borrow from other library in the county, maybe yours might have the same system. I’m able to get most books through the library website.

Re selling on Amazon.com for $.01…

My daughter did this when selling books to fund a Habitat for Humanity trip. Some organization paid the postage, so she received the postage money that the buyer was charged.

I have used Betterworld.com and have been VERY happy with the service. There is no shipping charge if shipping in the US. My books have arrived in a timely manner–don’t use expedited shipping–took longer than regular shipping! Found the book you want for $4 (CD missing).

I just ordered a book (Silent Thunder by Katy Payne) thru Betterworld. I couldn’t get it thru Amazon–hope this works. Thanks for the link.

half.com?
My D bought a lot of books there for school.

all great sites for books in addition to half.com and amazon.com

oops forgot about www.abebooks.com and www.powells.com

thanks for all the sites
i can’t believe everything is so cheap!!

We love all those used book sites. Usually order all my s’s testbooks on line. Sometimes when older s sells them to other students or through the used books on campus he makes a profit! :D

Let me know, bethievt, how your experience with betterworld.com works out. When I had trouble with getting my “expedited” order in an expedited manner, I contacted them through email and they answered right back. Pretty good for an outfit selling books really cheap!

If it’s one thing that we parents of college aged kids are always on the lookout for it is a way to save a buck!

you could try goodwill.

Bethievt–how did your experience turn out?

Is it important to get the Solutions Manual from the College Board that appears to go with 10 Real SATs?

There’s a solution manual? Once you have the answer from the back of the book, I wouldn’t think it hard to figure out how they got the answer.

Well, aren’t there some ways of solving problems that are more efficient than others?
