With all of these discussions, I thought people would want to know for sure. I heard from the admissions office (don’t ask how). Its today around or after 8 pm est. Be prepared

are u really really sure?thanks!!

I got another acceptance packet from Stanford today; I was admitted early. So I believe it. They’re definitely sending stuff out to people.

Ah! Seriously? OMG! TERROR STRIKES!!

OMGGGGGG! are u serious?

i just checked my EA acceptance email… i got it at:
Fri, Dec 12, 2008 at 9:13 PM
what a random time.
Anyway, that was the Friday b4 the official date.

I read this and started getting nervous.
Will I be admitted? No clue. But Stanford is one of my top three, so ahhhh. I won’t even be home for when they come out, then.

how much time left?!

IF it’s true that it comes out around 5PM-5:30PM PST, then…

2 and 1/2 hours - 3 hours left.

Awesome news! After getting into Duke yesterday, I’m oddly serene/confident about my chances.

Interestingly enough, Duke’s FinAid offer (which was emailed today, pretty damn quick!) was not quiiiittttteee what my family needs (we could make it, but it would be a helluva stretch :)), so Stanford’s reputation for FinAid could be a big plus!

. . . . Assuming I get in, of course, which is not likely at all lol

…oh my god.

If what you say is not true, I will haunt you forever!

good luck!

T-2 Hours and 20 minutes
(it’s 5:40pm here in EST)

but don’t be surprised if its a few hours after 5 pst.

i didnt get mine until one and a half hours after 5

Haha truth to be told, I’m watching a movie with my friends from 8:15pm to 10ish(EST)…which means I have to be there at the movie theater at 7:50ish. So I won’t be able to see my decision until I get home…

It’s gonna be hard to concentrate on the movie.

good. have fun and don’t think about college. :)

Pray to all holy that you aren’t lying… hahaha. I’ll be checking my email on my phone frantically all night.

PDT/CDT/EDT you mean, right?

^ 5 PM Pacific, 7 Central, 8 Eastern :D

No, I know that, I was just noting that we are no longer on Standard time; PDT rather than PST. ;).
