First of all, this is not a scam.

My name is Ben, a second-year economics major at the College. I am the current Chairman of the Balanced Student Excellence Award (BSEA) Committee for the Sigma Phi Epsilon (SigEp) chapter at the University of Chicago. We are offerring a $1000 scholarship to one undergraduate freshman enrolling in the University of Chicago in fall 2010. This scholarship is completely merit-based so it doesn’t matter if you are from outside of the U.S. or even Planet Earth. And just because we are a fraternity does not mean that we do not award money to our female applicants. In addition, our scholarship is independent from your overall aid package from the University’s FA office so you don’t have to worry about losing money for winning money elsewhere (we know how much it sucks)!

One catch though: You have to wow us with your well-roundedness. After all, it is called the Balanced Student Excellence Award. Follow this link for more information and the application: [Sigma Phi Epsilon • University of Chicago](http://sigep.uchicago.edu/BSEA.html)

If you have any questions about our scholarship, our great University, our fraternity, or me, just reply in this thread and my associates and I will do my best to answer them.

P.S.: As you can see, I have been with CC for a while. God it feels good to be back. All those memories…
