some people chose NU as their first choice OVER the Ivy League and have zero “Ivy Envy.” Not sure where you are coming from with your statement.

I went to NU many many many years ago. How interesting that no one has said anything about the Greek system. Is this now considered a positive or a negative or neither??

I second Annie10. I didn’t recall talking with others where people applied, let alone saying things like “oh, I got rejected by Harvard, Columbia…etc…too bad…I am gonna try to transfer”…etc. Once I got there, nobody talked about their SAT scores or things that just sound so HS. We also have quite a few programs that the Ivies can’t match (journalism, communications, mmss, hpme…etc). In any case, most of the ones that didn’t pick NU as their 1st choice were mature enough to leave the rejection behind and move on (if they were indeed rejected by HYP…etc).

yeah, all they do is wear Harvard sweatshirts around campus. :)

i know, such a faux pas! and i hate it when people wear other big 10 school sweatshirts, too! i admit to almost walking out the door to give a tour wearing a notre dame t-shirt once, but luckily i realized just in time.
