You may also want to add the University of San Diego (USD) to your list. Its biology and chemistry departments are strong, and last fall it opened an amazing new science and technology center. The school has a good reputation and one of the most beautiful campuses on the west coast. It also has a nice size (7,000 undergrad and grad), and is located in San Diego, a fun city. The school is private, but generous with financial aid. USD would be a match for you.
