Great Jersey-centric set of songs by Bruce–all totallly apropos to the disaster and the spirit of the people. But now Roger Water’s set has been a total, random, buzzkill. Anyone got a joint?

Crowd looks like they wandered in from the nearest convention of rich white people.

I hadn’t heard at all about the concert, but happened to see it was on the front page of Hulu, so I tuned in probably about halfway through the Rolling Stones concert. Was amazed to see none of the networks here in Los Angeles covered it (even though it sort of seemed like another NBC production). Stones were good, but from what I saw Billy Joel was the only one that got the crowd moving at all. Paul McCartney was, well, pretty bland. A bunch of Wings songs, and of the Beatles choices really not many that seemed to get a crowd going. I was really hoping for Bruce to come back out at the end to get the crowd on its feet. Either that, or they should have just ended it with New York State of Mind.
