<p>My daughter went into hiding the other day with construction paper, tape and scissors. I knew she was up to something the way she grinned and whirled past me with her supplies. An hour or so later she resurfaced holding a long paper chain. She now proudly displays it all around her room. It wraps around the entire room and serves as a count down–to I-day… I think there’s 149 loops left as of today.</p>
<p>When I walk past her room and see the colorful display of loops, I’m reassured that she’s still here for many days…but each day, she’s taking off a loop…and before I know it, it’ll be down to just that one little ring of construction paper… </p>
<p>Thank goodness it’s a Leap Year, that bought me one extra loop… :)</p>
We’re just trying to get adjusted to all this. Maybe we’ll try some aerobatics.</p>
