1620 to 1900s

I took the SAT for the first time in May. Without prep I got 1620- 610 R/480 M/ 530 W. We also only had 1 break the entire testing time.

I’m a junior and applying to 4 CSUs and about 3 UCs for Nursing, Sociology or Dietetics. So I need to get my score to at least 1800/1900s to be safe.

My grades:
AP English, AP Psych, USH, Religion, Ceramics - A
AP Biology- B
Pre-Calculus- D
I know grades are not an indication of what you get on the SATs but clearly I have the ability to learn and perform well. Algebra 1, 2 and Geometry I got an A, but I need to brush up on it for the SAT math section.

How do you recommend I prepare for a 200-300 point increase? What is the best for math? What books/programs do I need? Would a tutor/prep class help?

if you only need to get in the 1800-1900 range, just do the blue book. There is a HUGE room for improvement for your scores, especially in the M and W… do some prep tests from the blue book and you’ll do just fine. i hope you’re taking the SAT in either Oct. or Nov., so you’d have time to prepare. Good luck!

thank you. i will definitely pick up the blue book when I can

do that, finish the tests, review the answers, and enjoy your high score.
