I just got my scores back and Im a freshman, What does a 167 psat equal for the real sat?

1670 out of 2400.

The rough guideline they tell you is to add a 0 to overall score and 0 to each individual section to get SAT comparable number.
However, by the time you take the SAT for college entry you will have additional years of education behind you and scores would most probably be higher than your PSAT predicts currently.
Plus, any additional preparation work on your part would hopefully increase your score on the actual SAT exam.

PSAT math is easier than SAT math, and so if you were to take the SAT now I’d approximate your score at 1620.

what about PSAT reading and writing? besides the essay

Theoretically 1670 … but things can change dramatically. Lots of people report an increase of a few hundred points over their sophomore year scores on the PSAT. Your mileage may vary!

that’s a pretty good score for a freshman…especially if the format of the test was new to you. nice job=)

but make sure you don’t get overconfident, i’ve plenty of ppl get ntl merit worthy scores their sophomore year only to fall flat on their face junior year when it actually matters.
