1700 SAT but a 33 ACT

Yep, and I want to apply to some schools that require SAT IIs (Columbia, Dartmouth). What do I do? They’ll see my SAT if I submit SAT IIs right?

I only took each test once, and don’t plan to take SAT again with my ACT score.

If you submit the ACT, I don’t think you have to send in SAT 2s

They look at your top score, don’t sweat it. 33 ACT obviously shows your competent, and that is all they need.

You can send the SAT IIs without sending the SAT. If the SAT IIs are high scores, then I would send those and the ACT.

@SMRSMR

How?..I thought CB sends them in one report.

@notatruetarheel Dartmouth allows score choice. I’m not sure about Columbia though, I didn’t apply there.

When you go to send your scores, make sure you go into score choice so you can uncheck the date from your SAT I. If you do that you’ll be fine.

Columbia does not participate in score choice. That is all I know.

“Columbia has always expected applicants to report all required standardized testing for which they have sat and will continue to do so for 2010-2011”

Directly from Columbia website.
Found here:
[Required Standardized Testing | Columbia University Office of Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.studentaffairs.columbia.edu/admissions/applications/firstyear/testing)
Under “Testing policy for score choice”

The above means that you must submit your SAT AND ACT score, however only your highest scores will be considered:

“When evaluating applicants, we consider only the highest testing results reported”

So you should submit both and Columbia should only review the ACT score and disregard the SAT score. If you were to not submit your SAT score and Columbia were to find out about it, you could get in a lot of trouble.
