<p>I’m a student with a 3.0 GPA, should I take the SAT a fourth time to raise my score? I’m confident that if I’m given one more shot, I can obtain a 2000. What do you think?</p>
<p>Before you go take it again see if it even makes a difference. I dont think 20 points would make it or break it for you. 20 points is pretty small; even though it flips the first number from 1 to 2. This site lets you type in your numbers for free and choose your schools of interest. Then you can do their “what if game” to see if 20 points increases your chance at the schools you like. <p>Thanks Charlie. I use Parchment. However, I don’t think you understand what I’m asking. I’m asking if I should take the risk of the SAT for a dreaded fourth time to increase my superscore of 1940 to a 2000, or perhaps a 2100. It would only require a 40 point increase per section, and I’ve been doing roughly 100 point increases in math over the past few days. So that would mean I’d only need to keep my math increases and do a 40 point increase in another section. Writing, perhaps, since critical reading is a bit rough.</p>
<p>A fourth time isn’t advisable, but that’s just my view, as it makes you seem desperate. What colleges are you looking at?</p>
<p>Fordham, Lehigh, Northeastern, Ohio State, Penn State, Pepperdine, Rensselear, UConn, Swarthmore, and Villanova.</p>
<p>Try ACT. Also, you have a realistic list (albeit many different types of colleges there) save for SWAT, with Nova, RPI and Lehigh being reaches. The others are low reaches to high matches with the exception of UConn and NE both of which are probably,matches.</p>
