1930: good SAT score, or not quite enough?

I recently retook the SATs & scored a 1930 (660 cr, 630 m, 640 w).

I average a 90.5 GPA, and have taken a total of 5 AP courses, one being an after school class. I’m involved in 12 clubs, holding leadership in 5 & I run track and cheer competitively.

My question is, what schools could I get into with that SAT score? Is it high enough, or should I retake? Any ideas on what schools would be a good fit?

Some of the schools I’m interested in applying to are:
Lehigh
Lafayette
Villanova
Notre Dame
Boston University
Fordham
Holy Cross
TCNJ
George Washington

That is an excellent score. Good job.

It is a fine score for the colleges you are applying for.

Good except for Notre Dame which would put your score in <25%.

What tier would those scores put me in? I don’t want to aim too high and only recieve rejection letters in the mail.

I’d say top tier.

^Top tier is Ivies + MSC

Those scores are good enough for most 2nd tier schools - although for notre dame your going to need to do better.

Yah, Notre Dame is my reach - I doubt I’d get in even if I raised my score, due to my low GPA. You don’t think I should retake the SAT? My first score was a 1750; I’m not sure how much higer I could go up if I bothered taking it a third time.

Dude there are people who have sub 2000 at top tier schools. So he could probably get there.

You don’t need to retake. 1930 is in the upper bound for most of those schools.

^^What!?! 90.5 GPA is low? I’m #2 ranked with a 92 GPA…

^ #2 at my school has a 98.90! You’re so lucky!

Our teachers only give out 1 or 2 grades above a 90.

I think GPA varies with school, thats where SAT and SAT 2 scores come in.

For my school, a 90.5 anything special ! Luckily, we don’t rank due to our small size. However, it seems like a 90 is barely good enough to get into any of these schools … That’s why I’m placing so much value on SAT scores. My dad wants me to bring it up to a 2100, but I doubt I could get that high.

being a girl helps to get into notredame, but it will still be a big reach.

Gender is a major factor in admission ?

usually not but some schools just have more guy applicants than girls and vice versa and want to have about 50% each.

Its a minor difference but just pointing it out.

Thank you for the help ! This application process is so stressful; any bit of advice means a lot.
