NASA (Summer 2007) – I worked full-time for 10 weeks in Building 22 at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center on the self-healing aspect of the tetrahedral robotics project. I started out not knowing what I was doing, but I am very good at learning things on my own, so I taught myself everything I needed to know as I went along. With the occasional help of my mentor and other interns, I completed my project early and beat all its requirements. I gave a 10-minute presentation on my work at a small symposium.

I am a second generation Hispanic male from Maryland and would like for you to chance me. Thanks.

1st gen or 2nd gen? Your ECs are good. Shows interest in science/robotics. Not impressive though.

Where are your SAT II scores?? Your SAT I is low. Any way to raise it? If you do, you’ll stan a chance at your reaches. Btw, why Berkeley? OOS will be difficult. FA needed?

I’m not so sure how these specific colleges rank first gen on there lists but just bump that SAT or even try the ACT and you will raise your odds by a long shot :)

Everything looks good… except your SAT. I agree with the above poster, you’ll be better off if you bump up your SAT or try the ACT.

I’m taking the SAT again in december and doing Math Level II and Physics in November. I don’t know what happened with my June SAT, I’m taking practice tests and scoring well above 2000

will that be enough?

no…u got a really low chance, even with the minority status.

how many AP’s have u taken so far? 4? and whats ur cumulative GPA, because the 11th grade is not cumulative for sure…

cumulative gpa is 3.94. A low chance where?

URM means nothing to UC Berkeley - Thanks to prop 209…

you have a low chance at most of them. all the ivys mit Jhopkins CMU and others
your stats are low for a minority especially u should have gotten 800 on all subjects to do with spanish. a 3 on physics wont get u nothing. ur ecs are numerous but they are sort of random
