If you had a 2.0 GPA out of 4.0, how would you act? Lets say the GPA was deflated because of family issues, and whatnot. Things that are inevitable.
What would be your plan out of this deep, dark pit?

ArtOfMind, I would never let things get in the way of my 4.0. I have dealt with plenty of “family issues”, probably much more than you have. I just have the persitance to do better and get somewhere in life. I pity those who don’t have the perseverece I do, not to sound arrogant, but you sound as though you are generalizing that all people who have had a hard life have bad GPAs. In fact, they probably make up only 20 percent, while the other 80 percent does not even care about their grades. Also, when I was going through a hard time, I would focus on School because it would be the only thing I had any control over.

I would assume it was a computer glitch and talk to my GC and teachers… >_>

That being said, if you have a 2.0 gpa currently, I’d go with Liist’s suggestion… except insert UF for the state university of your choice (although I admit mine would the same…)

Go to community college and get my grades up. Honestly, I see CC as a valid option for a lot of people…and don’t really see it as a “bad” thing. Personally, I only make fun of CC people IF the people have bragged/exaggerated about their grades, SATs, ECs, etc…

however, i agree w/earlier posters-I dealt with a lot of bad stuff in hs. BUT i was willing to play along

“Lets SAY the GPA was deflated because of family issues, and WHATNOT. Things that are INEVITABLE.”
Please read my above statement conscientiously…

Been there, done that. Now i’m just going to work on taking college classes and such and i’m going to either continue homeschooling or go to a private school.
