2.7gpa 910 sat need college in FL

Yea. thats 910 on the 1600 scale. no extracurricular.

What colleges will accept me in FL? I want to live on dorms somewhere with a nice campus. Thanx.

Go to college board and run a search. 44 Florida colleges came up when I searched for Florida colleges with freshman housing/ 450/450 SATs. You may be surprised about your options, if you do a bit of research.

How old is that SAT score? You might have to take it again.

There are plenty of colleges that take students with SAT scores like yours. Also, most colleges don’t factor ECs into admission. It’s only top colleges --places like Harvard that get an overabundance of high stat applicants – that can afford to factor in ECs while selecting from large pools of students who qualify for admission.

Remember the SAT is for students who are college-bound. Most students who take the SAT --even those with low scores – can get into some kind of college.

Are you sure that a four-year institution is the most viable option to suit your needs and goals? Perhaps you may be better suited towards learning technical skills that would make you marketable in the workforce? Don’t discount the value of community colleges that offer solid vocational education for students who aren’t interested in a liberal education that offers no clear, concrete career pathway.

My friend got into FAU with a similar situation to yours. You should try that and maybe Fl Gulf Coast. Their campus is verrry nice.

Also look into Lynn University.

Sligh Anarchist said it well. Is the degree worth going into debt for. CC is dirt cheap and theres always the possibility of transfering to a better school if you do well.

Is Lynn down near Palm Beach? If so, I know someone with stats like that who is attending there. If it is the one I am thinking of, it is very expensive.

Bessie, I’m not sure where it is located, but I know of 2 kids with similar stats that go there too.

University of South Florida, Palm Beach Atlantic, Southeastern U

I’d say go to a CC…try to turn your grades into 3.5+, and transfer to a really good institution.

Some schools to look at–>
FAU, Lynn University, University of North Florida, Florida Gulf Coast University.

NO DEFINITELY NOT SOUTH FLORIDA. I had a friend get reject with a 3.3 UW and 1140 SAT, with average EC’s.

Ignorant.

But yes, FAU, FGCU, UWF, and UNF are the State schools you could get into… maybe.

My friend got accepted with a 20 act to USF, with a 3.5-3.7 gpa. It kind of depends on luck. But FAU is a very good shot, basically anything besides the big ones… UF FSU UCF MIA

Nice campus? Not very selective? Florida?

Flagler

um…usf?

You couldn’t get into UNF.
FAU, FIU, UWF, FGCU
CC is the best idea

really… just one question though? how do you have zero extra-curriculars? what have you been doing for the past three years?

You won’t get into FAU with those numbers. Try FGCU.
