<p>for #2, I wish it said “how much farther in miles” rather than what it does say, but whatever.</p>

<p>If you plug in, say, 2, there are 120 minutes in 2 hours, and so she runs 12 miles in 2 hours. If she has to run 26, just do 26-12 = 14. Now just plug in “b” (aka 2) to the formulas until you get 14, and A works</p>
