<p>So I got a 2 on the AP Music Theory exam…but i got a 5 in Psych and a 5 in Microecon…I’m going to be a junior next year and I got all A’s except for AP Music Theory at a public elite and great extracurriculars…when I apply to Ivies should I not send the score? I got a B both semesters.</p>
<p>I wouldn’t send it. Its not like you will get college credit for such a low score, and it can only hurt you.</p>

<p>Your scores are self-reported on the application. You can choose which ones you want to put on there. The official score report isn’t sent until the summer after you graduate.</p>
<p>That 2 will stand out like a rotten egg, so I would not send it.</p>
<p>Or you can try to take it again next year.</p>
<p>I dont know…I pretty much bombed the aural…I don’t think my ear’s going to get better and I don’t know if I’m going to have the time to become better with all of my activities, internships, and classes…is it really that important? I mean, if my major/minor has NOTHING to do with music at all…will they really care that much about AP Music Theory if they see I got 5’s on my other AP tests and a great GPA and SAT Score?</p>

<p>hahaha i’m just laughing about your major/minor thing having nothing to do with music theory…it took me forever to get that you were talking about college majors because you had been talking about music and i was thinking major/minor keys, so I was confused by the pun. As far as the score goes, i’d leave it off the report. Great job on your other tests!</p>
<p>I feel your pain! I’ve got a 2 and a 4 newly added to my roster of scores. My issue is that I don’t have that many AP’s because my school offers so few and not reporting the 2 makes my effort to even take the class look pointless. If I had more than two scores to hide my 2 I wouldn’t include it on my apps. I’m assuming that you do/will have far more high scores than I could imagine obtaining so I suggest dropping the 2.</p>
