Hi, I’m trying to figure out what kind of space saving items I’m going to need for my new dorm room. I already know I will be sharing a closet with my future roommate. Any tips how to organize the closet efficiently? I also plan to loft my bed and put my desk underneath. What kind of storage should I get? I do plan to get a microfridge (hopefully my roommate will split the rental cost with me). And I’d love to get a rug to brighten things up. What size do you think would be appropriate?

I’ve never heard of a room having only one closet.

Yes, according to UCLA housing, the 2 person private bath in Delta Terrace has one closet measuring 85" high, 72" long, and 23" deep.

check out all the closet measurements here: [Residential Hall Closets](Residential Hall Closets)

Even though it’s only 1 closet, there should be a partition in the middle of it. Rooms in Delta are big enough that you won’t have to go out of your war with space saving with a double… My first year I lived in Delta, and my only regret as far as utilizing the space in that room is not getting a couch to put in it. You should be fine without lofting the bed (plus, that reduces the amount of light at your desk).
