2 Questions: Academics and discounts on tuition

<p>One of the student representatives with whom I had lunch said that if you maintained a certain GPA, you would get a significant amount of money deducted from your tuition for the next year. Has anyone heard of this?</p>

<p>Also, would you say GWU has a very academic atmosphere? As in, during the week are most people studying or are most people out in the city or partying? Are some classes more “knowledge for the sake of knowledge” like the Great Books or are academics very pre-professional?</p>

<p>You may need to verify this, but I read at the financial aid section that If you maintain a 3.7 GPA, you may qualify for 6000 dollars of reduction in tuition.
