When you apply Early Decision II for NYU, does the financial aid package come with the offer (if you do get accepted)? If yes, how does it all work, do we apply for it? Because to my knowledge, if you apply Regular Admissions you have to apply for Financial Aid at Feb area.

And for EDII, the results come in at mid-feb I hear, so do the Mid-year grades reach the school in time? In other words, will they take first semester of senior year grades into account?

I’m not sure about EDII specifically, but I know for EDI they contacted me less than a week after the deadline and got me to fill out a financial info form to estimate the financial package, then sent that estimate (loans, scholarships etc.) with the acceptance and said it would only become concrete after filing the FAFSA (available Jan.1). I think it’s safe to say they’ll ask you to do the same since FAFSA results only come back in April.

Oh, and mid-year reports are only due March, so, there’s no way they could use that to influence their initial admissions decision. The mid-year and final-year reports are only so that they can make sure that you are completing or have completed your last semester according to your plan: no D’s or F’s,or un-approved schedule changes, which are grounds for retracting admissions offers.
