Say my school is off the map. Not completely, of course: not Yukon Territory; rather, off the map of HP radar. Say I don’t think one kid from my school had ever gotten admitted to an Ivy League except one, who was accepted to Wharton. That was a long time ago. As yo have seen from my other posts my school has very little to offer and does not, whatsoever, hold the same prestige as a school like TJHS or Phillips Exeter, let alone certain public schools in the area. Will this work against me when it comes to admissions (particularly Princeton (#1) and Harvard (#2)?
And as far as EC’s go, with my time and school situation taken into consideration, I’m not in hot or freezing water. Everything’s all right. Love what I’m doing outside of school but gosh how I wish my school offered so much more. What clubs have you founded that you found kids warmed up to the most (mind you there are approx. 60 kids in our high school)? Would love to start a history club and book club. History would probably fall flat on its face but book club is feasible.
Thanks to all who respond!

kids like things like Amnesty International and Be the Change so they can actually feel like they can make a difference in large issues by fundraising and increasing awareness of issues
