2 years of a language with an economics major

Does anyone one know how badly only two years of a foreign language will look for someone who is looking to major in economics? I had really bad conselor advice, a bad teacher, and scheduling conflicts so I just decieded not to take it. Does anyone know how badly this will hurt me?

Dartmouth takes a very holistic approach to admissions. They try to look at your entire package beyond the transcript and test scores. Your intended major really won’t make a difference in admissions. So two years of foreign language really won’t hurt you as long as you have challenged yourself with all of your other classes and your extracirriculars.
