$20 Score Reports per school? (or for 8?)

<p>Just checking - does this mean that it’s $20 PER SCHOOl… or $20 to send it to up to 8 SCHOOLS? (If it’s the former… then that means that since I’m applying to 16 schools… it will cost me $320 ???)</p>

<p>That’s outright robbery. What’s even worse is that I’m waiting to see which schools I should be sending my subject score out to (if I do poorly, I’m not going to send it to all the schools that list the subject exam as “optional”)… but yet I’m in need of sending out my general GRE score pretty soon (to make sure that they get at least that before the application deadline).</p>

<p>This means that I may have to pay twice for the same GRE score report (once now for them to get the general early and on-time), and a second time for the subject score… making my possible maximum total I may have to spend $640!</p>

<p>Will schools let you send them a copy/scan of your score-report, or are they pretty anal about getting it from ETS?</p>

<p>Indeed, it is outright robbery. These test have a poor prediction of success in grad school, they are costly and a significant pain in the neck for test takers. But ETS is a monopolist, so what would you expect?</p>

<p>If you want to wait to submit your test scores, both the subject and general tests will show up on the report. I like to imagine that the executives at ETS are wracked with guilt and feel the way that people do after doing animal research for the first time.</p>

<p>I think you can choose to send only GRE scores (or only GRE subject test scores) or both.</p>
