20 students are applying to NYU from my school. Is there a limit on accepts?

As stated in the thread title, I am just wondering if they will accept 10-13 kids rather than say 3-5.

Definitely not, according to the stats for my school from Naviance:

Class Apply Admit
2011 54 24
2010 55 22
2009 49 15
2008 51 12

I doubt there is such a limit… I think it depends on the applicants and how good the school is…

Here is my School’s Naviance
Apply/Admit/Enroll
2012 23 0 0
2011 31 9 4
2010 19 7 0
2009 27 17 5
2008 30 11 3
2007 15 7 3
2006 27 12 5
2005 20 9 1

Class Apply Admit Enroll
2012 28 0 0
2011 46 22 4
2010 26 9 3
2009 39 13 2
2008 35 11 3
2007 25 13 5

Apply Admit Enroll
2011 30 8 5
2010 32 13 6
2009 17 6 2
2008 21 6 3
2007 15 2 2
2006 29 6 3
2005 34 12 4
2004 13 6 3

Just throwing out my school’s stats. From what I can see, around 25%-35% of students who applied were accepted, depending on the year (with the exception of some years, like 2007). Regardless, I doesn’t look like there’s a quota for any schools, it all depends on the strength of the applicant. Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback!..Here is my school’s Naviance.

Class Apply Admit Enroll
2012 20 1 0
2011 23 5 4
2010 19 8 1
2009 19 7 0

So I’m assuming it’s not possible to project the number of acceptances they will make this year. It all depends on the strength of the applicant.

There is no limit, 20 kids matriculated to NYU from my school for the class of 2015, with much more acceptances.

You must be from either Jersey or Long Island…

Jersey/Long Island students are favored?

I doubt it. I’m assuming hellodocks assumes that people from Jersey or Long Island are overall stronger students.
