2005 Ford Mustang or Nissan 350z coupe?

My parents are going to buy me a new car for college and I’m having difficulty deciding between the two any advice? Which would you pick and why?

Here’s the mustang I’m thinking of getting the convertible if I get the mustang: http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/mustang/

Nissan 350z Coupe.

…and here’s the z I would go with the coupe and I know nissans are generally more reliable but I’m thinking the mustang will have the highest value/re-sellability down the line, what do you guys think?

The 350Z is a far classier and more respectable-looking vehicle. While not as fast as the Mustang, it is a beautiful car that will turn heads not for prime ruggedness, but for style and design. While neither car is perfect, the Z is far more practical, both in the looks department and underneath the hood. The Mustang strikes me as a car for men who are insecure. Plus, if you wanna talk about practicality, Nissan is far more reliable than Ford, across the board.

Note: do not buy a car because it has better re-sale value–unless you are a dealer, you are buying a car to enjoy driving it, not to enjoy selling it.

it’s def. a hard pick. i’ll give you that. i like them both alot but i think you’d get tired of the 350z eventually where the ford you could always be satisfied with.

dude if you want to pick up MORGAN, get the mustang…she’ll fall for you right away.

350Z fo’ sho’…mustang is GAY; too weak.

lol. I know huh idiias I don’t think she’d fit in a two seater anyway. I’d prob need the hummer for that.

Go with the Nissan.

Wow…I would do anything for either of those cars. Ugh, this is tough.

The 2005 Mustang is supposedly awesome…improved handling, a buttload of horsepower, and a better overall ride.

The 350z is another favorite of mine…but I heard the ride is sorta bumpy…still…

…I would probably say the Nissan. Japanese cars seem to last longer than American cars nowadays. Built Ford Tough my ass.

Lol!!! Two of my friends each have either a 2005 mustang GT or a Nissan 350z

Go for the Nissan all the way, it’s much more classier, better looking, and still has extremely good engine power even if it’s not as powerful as the Mustang.

The interior design is also superior to that of a mustang’s.

Also, I don’t know if Ford has improved its mustang’s fuel economies… the site says that the 2005 Mustang GT has a mileage rating of 17/25 with the stick and 18/23 with the auto, but my friend has a good condition 2005 mustang GT (V8 4.6 L engine) and he gets 12 miles per gallon. My other friend with the Nissan can get over 20 miles per gallon.

All in all… I think Ford Mustangs suck…

well i dont know much about cars in terms of horsepower and engines and such BUT i will say that both are nice looking cars.

Mustang: everyone has one now (relatively speaking). it’s also seen as a poser/fake car. i dunno thats what my guy friends who are all obsessed about cars say. i think it looks nice though.

Nissan: less people have it, therefore it will turn more heads and its more unique. my guy friends all want this car because it has a great engine and turbo and other stuff i could care less about. but its a beautiful car that i’m sure both guys and girls will like.

take the NISSAN. ford cars kind of have a bad rep for dying on ya.

If money factors into your decision at all, the 2005 Mustang is marginally cheaper than the 350z.

If money is no object, get a Ford GT.
