2005 SAT II requirements

With the removal of the writing SAT II in 2005, how are colleges with SAT II requirements dealing with this issue? Many just simply state 'Any 3 SAT II's', but the majority of the students take writing as one of the three. If it's removed and the requirement is still there, it may put some strain on students without a very diverse coarseload.

Others say 'Writing and any two SAT II's' and I wonder if these especially will lower the requirement to just 2 SAT II's. I've heard both ways. I'm asking CC before I ask the admissions offices.

Anyone know?

I just found that and it confirms what I was thinking (for Duke, at least).

At the UC's--you have to take the new SAT 1 and are only required to submit 2 additional SAT 2s.
