<p>A2Wolves6, yes it wasn’t too tough of a choice, although I did have a few minor qualms about turning down Chicago econ.</p>

<p>Well what about Berkeley? If you are in-state there, then that would have been a great option. Unless of course you had need, whereas Stanford would have been perfect.</p>

<p>I agree with you, but it’s pretty difficult to turn Stanford down for Berkeley. I won’t say it’s the prestige that got to me (although I’m sure that’s partly true), but rather the opportunities that come with that prestige. I don’t mean opportunity as in will-make-big-$$$. I mean it as in the kind of students, faculty, and resources that are there. </p>

<p>As far as the financial side, my family is well off but not enough that $47k/yr doesn’t hurt. In fact, a decent chunk of it my parents decidely are not paying. We all agreed from the beginning that it was worth it, but we’ll see how it goes. :)</p>
