Basically its a free 2 day program at Berkley for lowincome students or students in schools with API’s less than 5 to go. </p>
<p>According to the email:
This program is an introduction to the University of California,Berkeley,and to its opportunities and resources for high school students. Participants will stay on campus for a day-and-a-half, and participate in both educational and recreational activities. We will also provide a half-day workshop for parents on the first day of our program
Goals include enhancing students’ academic preparation for the University and introducing them to the support services that will be available to them. An additional objective is to help students prepare for the college application process and transition to the University. Activities may include faculty lectures, Personal Statement writing workshop, test preparation, introduction to the various disciplines available, admissions evaluation, and other related advising. In addition, participants will receive information on housing, financial aid and advise from a current student panel.</p>
