2009: More Indecisions

It seems that this year there are more students who can’t seem to decide which accepted school they should matriculate.

I can’t wait until it comes to spouse choosing time. No wonder why we have so many divorces and prolonged living togethers.

One of my Ds classmates (who is also going to the same college) advised her to go on Facebook and check out the profiles of kids who have already decided to attend the same schools she was considering. My D checked out WashU, Wake and Vandy as those were the final 3 on her list. After looking at all of them she had a clear winner. For her, she said that her future Vandy classmates were the ones she most wanted to spend the next 4 years living and learning with.

Somehow I really doubt my son will be juggling two equally excellent girls, trying to decide which one to marry.

I’m pretty sure son has a preference, but we’re also looking at $$ and waiting on a final negotiation.

Image in my brain of fireflyscout’s S physically juggling two bathing beauties…

LOL, firefly!

I think this year “indecisions” have a lot to do with the economy and financial aid packages. A dream school with no aid or a frowned upon safety with a full ride? Hmmm…
