Man… I have a 222, and texas’s cutoff last year was 216… it was 215 the year before… I hope it climbs to 218 this year so this kid at my school doesn’t get it, hahahaha, he needs an ego check.

Man, I am the only one who did bad. I think the PSAT is inaccurate though because last year as a sophomore my friend got a 225 but this year he got a 208, with the same amount of prep.

^I agree. But then again, we are a VERY VERY small sample size for which our scores were underperformed. So, we’re special :)

Form S: 80 CR, 80 M, 80 W

Hmm…I had myself convinced that I missed a writing question, but apparently not! =]

How come the website says “Score Reports Available: 2009” If they’re not actually available. All it does it send you to a page where it says “If you don’t see your 2009 information please enter your code.” Why would I be trying to find my score online if I had the code?

yeah the website scores are online. i got 204 71 cr 70 m and somehow 63w which i dont know how i missed 5 because when i took the sat, the writing was the only section i did good on. but im really happy with my cr score cuz i got owned on the sat for that.

It’s rather deceptive to advertise on the main page that 2009 PSAT scores are not available online. The only people who can access them already know their scores.

They gave scores out at my school today - juniors only… :(

Hopefully I’ll get mine tomorrow.

HOW did you guys get in without the access code???/

hey silver my school didnt give it back to me either. instead of clicking acces code just click on the link in that blue box. here’s the url i think [My College QuickStart ?free college planning kit ?PSAT scores online](http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/psat/quickstart.html?excmpid=CBF1-ST-1-PSATreport)
after going on tat page just click on the sign in to my collegequickstart

It really angers me that you must have the access code to get your scores online. Schools, like mine, plan to release the scores in mid January, which seems ridiculously late compared to when most of you are getting them.

No, the scores have not popped up on the internet for me.

I suppose, Silverturtle, but then again some of the posts indicate that some schools will give students’ their code.

In other news, not to freak out anybody with a borderline score, but I think the fact that less people took the test may lead to an increase in cutoff scores. I’m still somewhat under the impression that the amount of high scorers is proportional to the amount of test takers, but at least in terms of Houston, this may not be the case.

Big schools like Bellaire, Debakey, Carnegie, and probably Lamar who have the funding, and care about seeing their students in the paper all fund the test for their students. Second of all, Bellaire doesn’t require students take it more than once, so people who took it sophomore year and did badly are not as likely to take it their junior year. The predominately AP students who go there (who I am friends with, though I go to a different school) ALL retake the test, and typically score 200+, many of them over the 216 cutoff.

Assuming Houston accounted for some portion of the drop in test takers this year, all I know to say is that the smart kids didn’t skip out; it was almost certainly those who had nothing to gain from the test except to drive down the NMS cutoff.

Any thoughts on this, anyone? Sound similar to your area?

Wait. Can someone with a 2009 access code post theirs so we could figure out our own code from that? It’s a longshot but…

227

80 CR - 1 incorrect, 0 skipped
72 M - 3 incorrect, 0 skipped
75 W - 1 incorrect, 0 skipped

I’m irritated with myself. The three math errors all came from being too lazy and stupid to read the questions all the way through (and then failing to check my answers).

The writing section seemed really easy, and the curve proves it. 5 points off for one error?

EDIT: At least I should be okay for National Merit…

maybe it will work aliq, butii suppose doing so would be unsafe

Grrrr… I’m still in disbelief that I got most of the debated/more difficult questions in this forum right, yet tripped up because of stupid mistakes. :(

Ah well, I’ll just be patient until tomorrow. (Unless, of course, we have a snow day tomorrow, which would have positive (AP Biology cramming time) and negative (no PSAT score) aspects).

How would it be unsafe? There’s nothing we can do with your code (we dont know your username/password on collegeboard)

oh, i thought with the code one could acess the score report of someone else.

terror of my psat scores slowly building.
