2010 amc 12b

I have solutions for all but #23 and #24 but don’t feel like getting a deluge of PMs like I did last time.

IM me on paulvannumber1 (AIM)

hey man can you pm me the answers i attempted to answer #24 and #25 and ended up guessing T.T not too good but ya pm me the answers asap

Does anybody have not just the letters of the answers, but the actual numbers they represent? I don’t have my booklet yet, but I figure I’d be able to remember if I saw the numerical answers. If anybody does, please let me know and pm me the answers, thanks!

Please someone pm me the answers  :)

hey guys,

i just took the amc 12b… dying to know if i broke 100… someone PLEASE pm me the answers

if anyone has their booklet (our school takes it and returns it a week later) can u scan it to me? thx

i think that was the hardest amc ever.

and the 12a was really tough too.

so hard tests, riddle by stupid mistakes, and there’s only a 50% chance I’ll make AIME. Which ****es me off… considering I made it last year when I didn’t care at all.

K I have answers for all 25 now.

Also to those I’ve given answers already; I gave you an incorrect answer for #15 :-X so if you thought cause of the answer I gave you, you actually got it wrong. If you thought you got it wrong, then you might have gotten it right.

SN is again paulvannumber1

did you guys think this was harder than the 12a? i was able to get a 114 on the A but only 94.5 on the B.

w8 can someone pm me the answers as well…

Xeaqs8 could you PM me the answers please? no one else did :(

What do you think the cutoff is? I hope it is lower than last year, as this year’s test was much harder.

My score (99% sure) is a 96.5

For the record, the cutoff for the 12A this year was an 88.5

I didn’t do any on the last page of the pamphlet. *** is “pow”? Anyway, answered 14 (guessed on #14, praying I got the others right and would get above a 100 with a lucky guess on the 14th)

I was an idiot and actually added up 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 … 99!!! The best way to do that is matchup that 1 + 99 = 100, 2 + 98 = 100, 3 + 97 = 100, then just make sure to add 50 to all the pairs of 100 you get. That answer was 50/101. I put 50/99 I think.

One person just admitted to me they haven’t taken it yet and were looking to cheat so sorry but I’m not giving out answers anymore. If you can describe to me the content of the problem, I’ll give you a solution but no more answer keys.

Also nonemus, a 96.5 is impossible…

I got a 54. Lol I suck.

Please keep in mind that the AMC official testing date has been extended to Thursday for many east coast schools that were snowed out on both the A and B dates. Sharing of answers via PM compromises the integrity of the test.

can someone pm th answers 2

screw integrity can someone pleasseee tell me 18

I cannot help but laugh at the comments in post #38 and #39 after the posting before them.

I took the 12 A last year and scored a 126.0, but today’s 12 B was absolutely atrocious. First of all, there were vocabulary words on the test that should not have been on it since the expectation that students have been exposed to these terms is antithetical to the purposes of a mathematical reasoning assessment (i.e. palindrome, cyclic quadrilateral, monic). I personally knew two of the three terms, but those questions became nothing more than vocabulary tests rather mathematical reasoning assessments. Moreover, I do not believe that the MAA should automatically assume that all students are already acquainted with the dot product formula (question 22).

Last year’s test and the practice questions (released by the MAA) that I have been exposed to were far more representative of mathematical reasoning than those on today’s exam. At the very least, I had four incorrect, perhaps more.
